The first weekend of summer!

So, I just made it through my first weekend of summer break. I managed to:
go shopping (and not spend too much!)
take a gigantic Sunday afternoon nap
eat at one of my favorite places - Kanpai!

This Memorial Day, I plan to play in the pool with my son and then spend time with the rest of my family. This week, I'll mix grad school work with pool time. I am not planning to think about my classroom or my plans for next year just yet...although I say that and don't mean it. I'm already plotting ideas and keeping a list. :-)

So, even though it's summer time, ideas go on and new lists arise. I'm trying to figure out the logistics of all my ideas for next school year (already!). With each new grad school assignment, new ideas pop into my head. I'm looking forward to incorporating podcasts, Skype, and blogging into my classroom next year, along with a wonderful website for my students and their parents to use. What are you looking forward to, technology-wise, for the next school year? And, yes, I realize, it's the first week of summer and I'm thinking ahead. I'm such a planner and could always use ideas!

How lucky you are already on summer break! IF I wasn't on maternity leave I would still be in school until June 17th ~ long time to go!

Do you ever find that your list of ideas is just too long and it is not physically possible to get through it all in one school year? I feel like each year I try and take on too much to change, modify, create.

My new goal is to choose just 2 things for the next school year and do those 2 really well!

Nicole,
I love reading your blog! I think it is so neat how you explain your feelings and share some of the things that you plan on doing for the summer! It definitely sounds like you have your hands full but you have a blast with your life (especially) your son all the time! What a great way to express yourself through blogging!!!! Thanks for keeping my entertained! Great job!
